Moving our bodies daily is so important for our mental health, for healthy skin as well keeping our internal organs running smoothly. By getting ourselves moving more each day, we are helping our minds and bodies function at their best – here are some of the benefits:


Moving your body helps you get your heart rate elevated and gets your blood flowing. When we get our blood flowing, exercise will help our skin cells and keep them vital. Blood carries oxygen and nutrients to working cells throughout our body including our skin. The lymphatic system is essential to our bodies’ ability to detoxify, nourish and regenerate our tissue, filter our waste and keep our immune system in check. The flow of lymph is reliant on the actions of our muscles and diaphragm to circulate it. Exercise can help that a long .

Movement stimulates various chemicals in our brain that leave you feeling happier and more relaxed. For me I know a 15 min mid-day dance break really gets be back to focus during my work day – being clear and feeling less stressed is beneficial all around. Also many skin conditions can be exacerbated by stress, such as acne and eczema.

When we move regularly we assist the body to stimulate intestinal circulation which can encourage regularity.
