Ashwaganda is used for its restorative benefits, nourishing the bone layer and strengthening the immune system. Ashwaganda makes this cocoa thicker, with an additional malty taste. Due to its heating energy, ashwaganda is recommended for use in the colder weather.

For two servings

2 cups organic almond or milk

1 tbsp maple syrup

1/4 cup raw cacao powder

2 tbsp ghee or cacao butter

1 tsp Ashwaganda

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp ginger

1/4 tsp cardamom

Freshly grated nutmeg .

Warm the milk in a medium saucepan on medium heat.

Add sweetener and cacao.

Whisk briskly until it begins to steam.

Take off heat and whisk in spices, ghee and Ashwaganda by hand or blender.

Pour into two mugs.

Grate with fresh nutmeg.
