Agni

AGNI- FIRE ELEMENT, THE SECOND OF THE FIVE BASIC ELEMENTS IN THE BODY; REGULATES TEMPERATURE,PERFORMANCE ,DIGESTION, ABSORPTION AND ASSIMILATION IF INGESTED FOOD, AND TRANSFORMS FOOD INTO ENERGY OR CONSCIOUSNESS

.

Signs of balanced Agni

  • Vibrant energy

  • Clear and glowing skin

  • Mental clarity

  • Feeling into the sensation of hunger

  • Consistent and regular bowel movements and well formed stools

If you feel tired after a meal, it is a sign of weak digestion. It’s like you have added a log to a weak flame, now energy needs to be used to burn through the log and reset the fires

A few ways you can start to increase your digestive fire and improve your digestion, absorption and assimilation are:

  • Start your day with warm water not cold

  • Sip on hot water throughout the day

  • Avoid drinking ice cold beverages as these extinguish digestive flame

  • Avoid drinking large amounts of liquids-with meals

  • Make lunch your bigger and main meal of the day - this is when the sun energy is strongest and digestive fire is highest

“My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit Who lives within me,

Whom I have received from God. ”

— 1 CORINTHIANS 6:19

Part of honouring God’s will is taking care of ourselves. If we are not well, how can we do the things that He needs us to do? Our bodies are wondrous “temples,” created by Him to sustain us through our Earthly lives. How are you treating your temple? Keeping our bodies nourished is incredibly important for maintaining good health.

Bodies that are well-nourished spiritually and physically are better equipped vehicles for doing God’s work.

A mindfully curated space grounded in scripture, the seasons and slow ancestral traditions

Living simply is not something you arrive at or something accomplish. It is something of a balance that is nurtured and nourished throughout our entire lives.
